Domestic Airline Travel Antitrust Litigation

In re Domestic Airline Travel Antitrust Litigation, Case No. 15-mc-01404, MDL 2656 (D. D.C.)

Stock ticker:

Block & Leviton has named American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines as defendants who participated in a conspiracy from at least July 14, 2011 to the present to fix the prices of domestic airline tickets. Specifically, we believe defendants agreed to restrict and control capacity in an effort to maintain airline ticket prices at supracompetitive levels. With limited exceptions, fact discovery closed on July 31, 2019, while expert discovery remains ongoing.

Settlements were reached with American Airlines ($45 million) and Southwest Airlines ($15 million). These settlements received final approval on May 13, 2019. However, an objector has appealed that decision, which appeal remains pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. The case continues against Delta and United.
